There was a point and time in my life where I was pretty sure I'd never be happy with anything but a Fender tube amp. That's it- no need for extensive research, borrowing and testing, selling and buying. And believe me- I have tried a bunch of Amps over the years! It just always seemed end with a 'yeah pretty good, but...'! That was until I met a young man by the name of Gianluca La Bora. This twenty-something year old guy is not only a fine gentleman but also a total genius when it comes to Guitar amplification. Located in the remote region of Friuli/Italy he has quickly made a name for himself and given some of the big players like Fender or Marshall a run for their money! I can highly recommend giving it a go if you haven't tried one yet! You can get more details here. Hear me play my Gig50R

Harry Sokal 'I Remember Art' Nominated for "Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik"
I am honoured to be a part of Harry Sokal's Band in tribute to his late mentor and friend Art Farmer. Harry was Art's Tenor player of more than 20 years and is now passing on some secrets of the trade to this young Quartet. We recorded a CD with some of the Art Farmer Band repertoire and Harry added some of his original music. I think it came out really nice and the critics seem to think so too. You can get your copy here and check out the Gigs-section for live-dates!

John Howard Arman (b. May 6th 1986 in Innsbruck, Austria)
Hailing from the Alps, John cut his teeth as a young up-and-coming Jazz Guitarist in Austria and England, learning from Jazz greats such as Pat Martino, Dave Douglas and Dave Stryker. While still at University, John went on the road with Piano legend Richie Beirach and has since been fortunate to be able to work with the likes of Vincent Herring, Jeremy Pelt, Joris Dudli, Harry Sokal and Jesse Davis among many others.
Over the years John has advanced to one of the brightest young Jazz Guitarists in Austria and Europe, regularly touring and recording as a sideman with different groups as well as leading his own Organ Trio- which released its debut Album in April 2016 and has received large approval from critics near and far.
In 2015 the “John Arman Organ Trio” made a milestone appearance at the Lucerne Theater premiering a Concerto written for the Trio and the Lucerne Symphany Orchestra in a sold out performance.
John is currently based in Vienna and teaches Guitar at the Musikum in Salzburg.
